Stellingkorenmolen de Windhond in Soest has a long history dating back to the early 15th century. The mill was replaced by a stone rack corn mill of the same name in 1737. At the beginning of the 20th century, the mill fell out of use and was demolished in 1930, together with another Soester corn mill called "De Vlijt". However, De Windhond was rebuilt from 2006 and was first put into operation in 2008. The mill is made of extra hard baked ijssel bricks and has an Old Dutch sails. It has one pair of grinding stones and a hinged Flemish catch with a hanger and toggle. In October 2019, a white damp proofing layer was applied to the SW side of the hull to solve the problems with seepage moisture. The Windhond is now fully operational and attracts visitors from all over the world.
