Tracks and ridges in the desert. You can clearly see the beautifully shaped ridges in this photo of the countless grains of sand of the Rub'al Khali Desert. But also a trace of an animal or insect. Do you see it too. The photo was taken during a trip in the area of Empty Quarter, an impressive area.
With an area of 640,000 square kilometers, it is the largest desert in the world. It almost never rains there, making it one of the driest deserts in the world. And yet there is life.
