About ‘Traditions of Samarkand’ by Antwan Janssen

Two women in traditional Uzbek dress pose amongst the centuries-old mosaics of a madrasah on the famous Registan Square in Samarkand. Their colourful robes provide a stunning contrast to the distinctive blue-green tile patterns that have made Timurid architecture so beloved worldwide.
