The Triberg Waterfall in the Black Forest is one of the highest and most famous waterfalls in Germany. Over a total of 163 metres, the water of the Gutach cascades spectacularly into the valley in seven stages.
The waterfalls are located right on the edge of the town of Triberg in the Black Forest and are a popular excursion destination for nature lovers, hikers and photographers. Several well-developed paths and bridges lead along the falls, allowing visitors to experience the natural spectacle from different perspectives.
In addition to the natural experience, the Triberg waterfall also plays a role for wildlife: numerous squirrels and rare bird species live in the area, which can be observed with a little patience.
The waterfall is also a landmark of the Black Forest and is often associated with traditional attractions of the region, such as cuckoo clocks, traditional Black Forest costumes and the famous Black Forest gateau.
