Tulip field, North Holland
An open landscape under a high sky.
The lines of the field extend to the horizon rows of tulips, carefully planted, tightly patterned, yet full of movement. In the play of light and wind, everything is constantly changing.
The colours are bright and temporary. Shades of red, yellow, pink, white that light up briefly and then merge with the sky again. The land breathes rhythm: repetition that brings calm, precision that seems almost natural.
Yet this is not a still image. The wind moves, the light shifts, the clouds cast shadows and take them away again. What remains is a moment of balance between order and nature, between what is made and what grows.
The tulip field as a sign of season and labour, but also as a landscape of stillness.
Here, colour becomes almost abstract, and the pattern of the land a form of tranquillity.
A brief moment of clarity captured in line, light and space.
