About ‘Tulips’ by Ad Jekel
These tulips were photographed in a frog's eye view in the Noordoostpolder during the tulip festival tulip route.
Tulips are originally from Turkey and were not introduced into the Netherlands until the sixteenth century. The word tulip comes from the Latin word Tulipa: the flower that resembles a turban.
