"Tutti i frutti" is Italian for "all fruits". In Dutch, we leave out an i-t and make it tutti frutti, or even tuttifrutti. It is usually used for a mixture of dried fruits, or for mixed fruit ice cream. But in a broader sense, it also stands for a colourful mix in general.
I therefore thought Tutti Frutti was a good name for this artwork, even though there are no fruits involved. The basis is a photo of summer flowers along the waterfront, taken at the Wantij river in Dordrecht. From that photo, I transparently superimposed seven copies. The result was this colourful, cheerful, kaleidoscopic image.
