About ‘Two figs catch the light’ by Clazien Boot

Two figs catch the light. Two fresh figs photographed , they seem to belong together . Daylight shining in is caught by the figs. As they lie on an old table, it becomes a peaceful still life. The colours are natural and make the image look like a painting from earlier times. The light comes from one side and is also called the Rembrandt light. I really enjoy photographing still lifes, check out my other works in my shop. The background is left dark because then it has a nice contrast with the two figs. The figs are from my own garden, by the way. I am inspired by the old painters masters, such as Rembrandt and Vermeer and Coorte, the use of light gives me ideas .
This work would be beautiful in a kitchen or restaurant, my experience is that printed on an artframe it comes out very nicely. It is a canvas stretched in a frame with a matt look.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
