I took this photo on the Ermelosche Heide on the Veluwe you can already tell by the name of the heathland that it is near Ermelo. As you can see, the heather was already nicely purple when I took this photo even though it was cloudy. For this photo, I chose to photograph 2 free-standing sheep from the flock that graze on the Ermelosche heath. The sheep are of the Veluws heideschaap breed, it seems to be a stubborn breed. It is a typical Veluwe picture you see here. I took this photo out of hand to work a bit faster, sheep sometimes where not willing to stand still. The flock to which these two sheep belong go out to graze every day.
