In the background is the historic Bonkmolen. This hollow post mill with a thatched tower was built around the year 1853 to drain the polder Lakerveld. Meanwhile, the mill is no longer used as such; the draining is now done by a pumping station. The mill has been restored and is now owned by SIMAV.
