This work shows one of the many historic facades of Paris: elegant, rich in detail and characterised by the hallmarks of past centuries. The camera captures not only the building, but also the overall atmosphere: fine stonework, wrought-iron balconies, high windows and weathered colours - every detail tells of Parisian life in the past.
I was particularly fascinated by the quiet presence of these façades. Many of them are inconspicuous at first glance, but reveal their special aesthetics when you stop and take a closer look - be it a floral lattice, an ornately decorated window or simply the light that streams across the façade.
I took this picture on a walk through the city - without a plan, just with an alert eye. Paris is full of such hidden beauties. The work is intended to train the viewer's eye and invite them to see the familiar anew and discover beauty in silence.
The picture creates a warm, nostalgic atmosphere. It is reminiscent of the French way of life, of the past, but also of tranquillity and constancy.
The photo was taken digitally and the light balance and colour tones were adjusted in post-processing to emphasise the special mood. Ideal for anyone who wants to bring Paris into their home - elegant, understated and timeless.
