About ‘U Bein bridge, Myanmar’ by Alfred Kempe

Over Taungthman Lake near Amarapura in Myanmar, mayor U Bein had a teak pedestrian bridge built in the late 19th century. The nearly one-and-a-half-kilometre-long bridge is heavily used by locals, who also use it as a promenade in the evening.
