U.S. Navy EA-18G Growler Demo Team with F6F Hellcat.
The Boeing EA-18G Growler is a redesigned two-seater version of the modern naval attack fighter F/A-18F Super Hornet. The Growler was introduced to the U.S. Navy in phases from 2007.
Designed for electronic warfare, the Boeing EA-18G was developed to replace the ageing Grumman EA-6 Prowler. This aircraft was introduced in 1971 and has reached the end of its operational life after years of use.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American fighter aircraft, operating from aircraft carriers during World War II. It was developed to replace the older F4F Wildcat in the U.S. Navy. Although similar to its predecessor, the Hellcat was a new design, with a more powerful engine.
