Early spring and sundown is approaching in Umbria, Italy. The sun is bathing the landscape with a gorgeous golden glow, an incredible light that makes the colours look almost autumnal and enhances the stone farmhouse that is built overlooking the view. It is olive tree pruning season so a haze of smoke hangs in the distance from the bonfires burning the cuttings. The old farmhouse sits with part of the roof just visible and a small balcony on which can just be seen the shape of a cat sleeping next to a flower pot. A track leads the eye down to an olive grove, bathed in light and then on the landscape and hills beyond.
