Prehistory.
I am walking through this prehistoric time and marvelling at nature. Suddenly I find myself in a Monstera field. And I hear something chewing! A predator? Maybe I'm next. I duck under the leaves of a giant Monstera – and I can't believe my eyes! Sitting in front of me, barely bigger than a cat, is the strangest creature I have ever seen, eating its supper. The paradoxical idyll of this scene captivates me.
In the background, a volcano trembles.
I painted this picture with watercolours and refined it with coloured pencils. The fantasy creature in the foreground is not disturbed by the quaking volcano in the distance.
