Manolis is my neighbour on the island of samos. He is a fisherman in his eighties. Every day he still sails out in his little boat. He once wrote a letter to Kirk Douglas, enclosing a picture of himself. "Look how I look like you," he wrote. Kirk heartily agreed and sent back an autographed photo of himself. That's how close Hollywood was suddenly.
Tinseltown is the other name for Hollywood, the City of Tinsel. A city where sets replace real life. Where dreams come true, even for a simple fisherman from a Greek island. Tinseltown is bundled into a story in a Self Published art photo book. Available to view and order with a message at www.pascalehustings.nl.
