About "Unlock the Bock"

About the artwork

Two bucks - face to face, determined, proud and unyielding. Their horns touch in a showdown that is more symbolic than violent. One white, the other reddish-brown: light and dark, reason and instinct, tradition and rebellion. Behind them looms an industrial skyline, a silent reference to the breweries where their namesake - the Bokbier - comes to life.

Unlock the Bock is an ode to Dutch beer culture, but also to the stubbornness and strength it takes to follow your own path. The painting balances between humour and seriousness, between folklore and modern expression.

The coarse brushstrokes and high-contrast colours give the work raw energy. The black of the background makes the animals almost break out of the canvas, as if they could come to life at any moment.

A powerful symbol of courage, character and perseverance - with a nod to the autumn atmosphere of the first glass of Bokbier.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
