Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

Beta feature. You need an AR-capable device (a recent iPhone/iPad or Android). The AR view is only an indication; colour, size and finish may differ in reality.

About ‘Unusual headwear 3’ by Dick de Gelder

A unique and imaginative portrait in which old newspapers and books are given a new lease of life as an extravagant headdress. The carefully folded and curled strips of paper form an almost flower-like sculpture and contrast beautifully with the mannequin’s classical features. The work brings together fashion, recycling and paper art in a playful and unconventional art object. The printed words remain visible and add an extra layer to the creation: stories and news are literally transformed into a wearable work of art.
