How many APAL buggies were produced is no longer completely traceable today. However, they built about 5,000 buggies in very different looks and shapes under names like Auki, Mexican, Corsa, Buggy 4000, Buggy RN, Samtrack, Buggy C, Buggy L, Buggy 4000, Rancho. APAL was a Belgian car factory until 1998 and was then taken over by a German company. But they only built the APAL Speedster. The basis, however, was the Meyers-Manx-Buggy from the 1960's with a base plus engine from the then VW Beetle.
