Speed, luxury, refinement, this is how the sports car VW SP2 was advertised in Brazil in the 1970s... with 65 hp! Considerably too little for a sports coupé in such brisk advertising slogans do Brasil.
The Brazilians rightly said that the SP stands for Sem Potência, i.e. "without power" and not for sports cars. Other sources write SP stood for São Paulo, Special Project or Sport Prototype.
Nevertheless it looks good and today it is more than ever desired as an oldtimer and it is available in all imaginable colours.
