The original Beetle I photographed, built from June/July 1949 (tail lights without chrome ring, hubcaps still with large logo), whose series was produced from autumn 1945/regularly from January 1946, still had the tractor steering wheel, a cable brake and 24 1/2 HP. In addition, it had the first seat set and already 2 wipers! In 1950 the VW Beetle Standard followed and on August 5th 1955 the first million of 21.5 million units were produced.
