Looking for a breathtaking view of the beautiful Veluwemeer Aqueduct in Harderwijk? Look no further! This fantastic aerial photo, captured using a drone, shows the impressive feat of Dutch engineering that is the Veluwemeer Aqueduct.
Opened to traffic in 2003, the aqueduct is a true technological gem. Measuring 25 metres in length and 19 metres in width, it provides the perfect passage for ships with little draught but high masts, which want to sail effortlessly from the Veluwemeer to the Wolderwijd. The water depth of 3 metres makes this possible and makes the Veluwemeer Aqueduct an indispensable link in Dutch waterways.
From the air, you can admire the perfect symmetry of this ingenious structure, with the glistening waters of the Veluwemeer on one side and the Wolderwijd on the other. The Veluwemeer Aqueduct is not only a technical tour de force, but also a visual spectacle that showcases the splendour of our Dutch waterways.
I started drone photography since 2022 and it has since become a real passion to capture nature and urban landscapes as uniquely as possible. I do this both in the Netherlands and during my travels abroad.
