Venice
What images come to mind?
I wanted to experience Venice in a different way than crowded alleys and cruise ships travelling through Venice.
I was looking for the mysterious, quiet and old Venice.
That's why I travelled to Venice in winter.
In winter, the city is often covered in fog and it's cold.
Just like in the picture.
Gondolas are moored on the promenade from St Mark's Square. A small wooden bridge leads to the water and the gondolas. An old Venetian lantern stands next to it and lights up.
The island of San Giorgio is actually in the line of sight of the small wooden bridge, but the thick sea fog means that none of it can be seen.
Instead, you can see the silhouettes of two gondoliers rowing past in their gondolas.
The picture was taken at dusk, so there was a pleasant lighting mood.
An impressive scene for me, as it shows the original Venice.
The scenes look lively thanks to the movement of the water and the gondolas.
Nature is my passion and I want to share it with other people through my pictures. Whenever possible, I go out into nature with my camera.
