The statue represents Berto Barbarani (1872-1945). He was a famous poet who lived in Verona at the beginning of the 20th century. The work of art is in bronze and was made by the Veronese Novello Finotti, an important contemporary sculptor. The statue stands in the heart of Verona, near Piazza Erbe: the poet looks up to the "Madonna di Verona", symbol of Barbarani's beloved city of Verona. The work of art is well preserved and thanks to its convenient location it is one of the main attractions of the city.
