About ‘Vestrahorn Iceland in winter’ by Jeanine Verbraak

The Vestrahorn is a striking mountain on the south-east coast of Iceland, near the town of Höfn. Vestrahorn is a mountain of about 454 metres in height and consists of steep slopes and pointed peaks. It was formed by geological activity, including volcanic processes and glacial movements characteristic of the Icelandic landscape.

Iceland is known for its impressive natural beauty and geological diversity. The Vestrahorn has played an important role in the folklore of the area. Iceland has a rich history of myths and legends that are often linked to its natural features.

This photo shows Iceland's majestic Vestrahorn in its entirety. Taken in winter in the morning sun. The imposing peaks of this mountain form a dramatic silhouette against the sky.
