The ruin of Tintagel Castle stands on a peninsula near the eponymous town of Tintagel on the north coast of Cornwall on the Celtic Sea. In this place a fortress has stood in Roman times. Tintagel Castle was built in the thirteenth century by Richard, the Duke of Cornwall and after his time in decline, because his successors had no interest in a castle in this remote area. On the photo you can see the beautiful view from this place.
