About ‘View from the Stubnerkogel near Bad Gastein’ by Alexander Ließ

Bad Gastein is located in the Hohe Tauern National Park south of Salzburg. To the west, the town is dominated by the Stubnerkogel mountain. You can hike to the summit or take the cable car. A popular option is to take the cable car to the summit and then hike down into the valley. Along the way, there are various alpine huts where you can stop for refreshments. A highlight at the summit is the suspension bridge, which offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountain peaks. In good weather, you can also see the Großglockner. We were lucky, because when we arrived, the summit was shrouded in thick clouds. However, these soon disappeared and we were able to enjoy the view of the valley, where a few clouds still lingered.
