Iceland's capital Reykjavik is phenomenally situated between estuaries, mountain ranges and lava fields. Here we see the view from the south from the mossy lava field Gálgahraun near Álftanes. Two landmarks of the city stand out above everything: to the left of the middle the famous Hallgrímskirkja and to the right Perlan, the viewing platform on top of the tanks of the district heating.
This "paintification" is based on a photograph that was exposed to textures and filters until an impressionistic, picturesque look emerged.
