The work can be called impressionist but also has characteristics of a pointillist painting style. This can be seen especially in the foreground in the styles of the window. Pieter spent several holidays in the house in Brouwersstraat with his family. I myself, grandson of Pieter and custodian of his work, also spent several holidays there.
