I visited Svalbard in autumn. The land was not yet covered with a thick blanket of snow as is normal in winter. As a result, all the beautiful autumn colours of the plants on the tundra were visible. I stood halfway up a mountain and looked out over the tangle of little streams and rivers that, between the ochre-yellow and red-brown land, carried the meltwater of the countless glaciers to the sea. The sea lay brilliantly blue in the background with a streak of bright light blue due to the sun shining through the clouds.
Even further in the background, the bluish snowy mountains with a huge glacier were visible.
A breathtaking view that I had to capture! This image comes out big best.
