Vilmos Aba-Novák (1894-1941) was a Hungarian painter and graphic artist who is considered one of the most important artists of his country in the first half of the 20th century. He is known for his monumental frescoes, powerful colours and dynamic compositions. Aba-Novák's works combine traditional Hungarian themes with modern expression and often depict religious, historical and everyday scenes. His frescoes adorn churches and public buildings in Hungary, and he was a formative representative of Hungarian modernism.
