The Nieuwe Maas river was there a century ago; the same applies to sailing ships like the one on the left. That this is not a real vintage post card, but a digitally aged recent photo, is evident from the buildings on the right and center of the photo, including the Erasmus Bridge, De Rotterdam and the World Port Center.
