The Depot of Museum Boymans van Beuningen opened in November 2021. The mirroring bowl, with a birch forest on the roof, is the first publicly accessible museum depot in the world. We see the structure here from the edge of a pond in the Museum Park, in which the mirror in turn is also mirrored.
On this "vintage" postcard, the Depot seems to have been there for a hundred years, just like the museum itself. But no, this is a recent photograph, artificially aged in a bath of Photoshop. A tribute to a building that is already timeless.
