About ‘Waag in Deventer’ by Peter Bartelings

The oldest scales of the Netherlands can be found in Deventer. This work shows the Waag seen from the Brink, Deventer's central square. The evening shot was taken on a rainy evening and shows the shiny stones in the foreground reflecting the light beautifully. On either side are spring-green trees and in the background looms the Waag. About the image-maker: as a born and bred Amsterdammer, Peter feels a close connection to the city of Amsterdam. Over the years, he has captured the city of Amsterdam in many iconic works. Other cities at home and abroad also fill his portfolio. Landscape and macro photography are also part of his work. As a digital artist, he has also earned his spurs, especially with adaptations of old masters. Peters' work is widely sold and hangs on walls in various European countries.
