When I made this print I was reminded of a scene from Sesame Street where a customer drives a waiter crazy by constantly changing something on the order. Eventually a fly floats in his soup but waiter Grover can't stand it anymore and forces the man to eat his soup as revenge.
In this print you see a somewhat sad-looking waiter wringing his hands as he is about to reveal what is on your plate. It won't be much of a soup, I guess.
Why is this man so nervous? Look at that strange mustache, it's hanging there all the same. The restaurant seems empty as well. And then those crazy brown colors, as if we were looking at an old photograph. If you still want to leave, I'd go now!
