About ‘Walking with Mum’ by Eddy Smets

The photograph shows a touching moment of connection between a mother and her baby. The scene is captured from a perspective where the mother is not fully in the picture, but only her hand gently holding her child's tiny hand..The mother remains anonymous, her hand symbolising her presence and protection, but without showing her face, the focus remains on the child and the moment of connection.

This picture evokes feelings of love, care and unconditional support. The mother's hand is all we see, but it says it all: a silent promise of safety and protection. The baby is on his or her own, but knows they are not alone, that the mother's hand is always nearby, a source of trust and comfort.

The choice to make the mother visible only through her hand emphasises the relationship between the two, with the mother being both physically and emotionally the foundation for the child's development. It is a subtle representation of the invisible but powerful role parents play in their children's lives. The image speaks of love, care, but also of the unspoken power a mother puts in her presence and touch.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
