About "Walnuts - the quiet power of a simple ingredient"

About the artwork

Simple walnuts take centre stage in this still life. Several whole nuts are arranged to form a small mound on dark wood, surrounded by a loosely folded, deep blue cloth. The soft side light emphasises the fine furrows in the shells and makes each nut look like a small sculpture. The background remains deliberately dark and calm, allowing the warm brown tones of the nuts and the blue of the fabric to shine with particular intensity.

I was inspired by the beauty of everyday ingredients. Walnuts have been with many of us since childhood - as a snack, in cakes, in salads or simply as an activity on long winter evenings. The "dark moody" lighting style emphasises the calm and focus on form, structure and material, without distracting decoration.

The motif radiates warmth, grounding and a certain timelessness. It fits perfectly in kitchens, dining rooms, cafés or bakeries that want to create a natural, calm atmosphere. As a mural, it reminds us that enjoyment often begins with very simple, honest ingredients - and that even the unspectacular has its very own beauty.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
