About the artwork
"Warm brown tones of a pheasant feather" is a macro photograph of a water droplet resting on a pheasant feather. Because the feather lies on a mirrored surface, the reflection of the feather (at the bottom of the work) appears to be an abstract of the feather (if you zoom in you can see that)
The focus is on the drop of water, and there, in a small particle (at the level of the drop), you can even see the tiny hairs that make up the feather.
In the drop itself, you can also see the lines partly running, only they are distorted by the refraction of the light.
In short: a work with warm natural colours, which radiates simplicity but is more complicated than it seems at first sight because of the abstraction of the reflection!
This work could, for instance, beautifully hang as wall decoration in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or, of course, simply above the couch in the living room!
