This work is part of a photographic series in which I investigate the interaction of light, material and liquid. The photograph shows drops of water lying on a structured plastic surface. Targeted lighting creates coloured reflections and refractions that give the drops an almost glass-like quality. The colour palette ranges from cool blue tones to violet and silvery accents, giving the image a technical yet calm appearance.
The idea for this work arose from the desire to show everyday materials in a new context. Plastic and water - two contrasting elements - meet here in a controlled but unstaged environment. The aim is to visualise structures that are often overlooked in everyday life.
The picture conveys an atmosphere of concentration and reduction. It invites quiet contemplation and encourages us to engage with the aesthetics of simplicity. In modern living or working spaces, this work acts as a calm but concise accent - especially where clarity and visual order are required.
