Where autumn breathes

by ThetaGlitch

The golden autumn light filters through the trees and falls upon the moss-covered stones along a clear mountain river. The water flows over shallow gravel banks, past rocks and banks strewn with fallen leaves. Behind them, majestic mountain peaks rise up, with snow in their rugged folds. A thin mist hangs amongst the dark conifers, softening the transition into the distance.

This digital artwork, inspired by the Canadian wilderness, invites you to pause for a moment by the water’s edge. You can almost hear the murmur of the stream and the rustling of leaves. You imagine the scent of damp moss, pine trees and cold mountain air — one of those crisp autumn mornings when you pull your coat a little tighter around you, whilst the first rays of sun warm your face. On the opposite bank, a bear walks along the shore. It forms a small, tranquil part of the vast landscape and brings the wilderness to life.

Warm shades of gold and ochre meet the cool blue-green of the water and the soft greys of the mountains. The picturesque play of light and the details in the leaves, tree bark and stones lend the image depth. A work that brings the warmth of autumn and the tranquillity of the mountains into your home.
