Lake Louise is named after Princess Louise Caroline Alberta (1848-1939), the sixth child of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. The province of Alberta also derives its name from the princess. The beautiful Lake Louise is wedged between the mountains and is the most famous lake in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
