White Daisy Fleabane Flower /Erigeron strigosus - a single white open fleabanes flower with small buds below it. The background is a beautiful soft lime-green color. There are about 170 varieties of the fleabanes flower in north American.
The Daisy Fleabane are the host plants for the Lynx Flower Moth (Schinia lynx) This wildflower blooms in late spring. It grows in clusters of 40-100 blossoms.
"The Cherokee and other Native American tribes used Philadelphia fleabane for a variety of medicinal purposes including epilepsy. A poultice was made from the plant to treat headaches. The roots were either made into tea or chewed to treat colds and coughs."
