Just after a rain shower I was able to catch a photograph of these white foxgloves with raindrops. There are about 20 species under the name foxgloves which are also known as digitalis, a poison. Although digitalis is known as a poison it is actually used in heart medicines. The plant is a biennial (flowering every other year) and the flowers bloom on tall spikes which tower above the rest of the garden plants.
