Winding Road and Trees is a charcoal drawing in landscape format by the artist Karen Kaspar. A winding road leads the viewer's gaze through meadows into a landscape to a group of closely spaced trees. The background in the distance is formed by dark trees of a forest. The charcoal drawing is painted in a loose fresh style with black charcoal on white paper. Can you spot splashes of green and blue in the picture? That's because this drawing is my preliminary drawing for the acrylic painting Road amidst the greenery and therefore got a few splashes of paint when I painted it. I thought about retouching them out in Photoshop after scanning the drawing, but then consciously decided to leave them on the drawing. To me they make this image special, showing that it was drawn by hand by a real person, not artificial intelligence.
