About the artwork

On a bleak January morning, Zuidlaardermeer lies silent and unruffled. The wooden jetty leads the eye straight up to the frozen water, like a dark line disappearing in the soft haze of winter light. The ice shows subtle shades of white, grey and beige, shaped by wind, frost and freezing water. Everything breathes calmness, as if the world has stopped for a moment.

The sky above the lake is heavy and wintry, but at the same time warm in tone due to the soft light seeping from behind the clouds. That golden glow gives the landscape a surprisingly serene and almost melancholic atmosphere. The emptiness around the jetty emphasises the space, tranquillity and power of simplicity. Footprints on the wood show that someone has visited this quiet spot before, but the atmosphere remains subdued and pure.

It is an image that captures winter in its essence: cool, minimalist, but full of nuance. A moment of silence that invites you to slow down and let your thoughts carry you across the frozen lake.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
