Predicted rain showers make the evening soaking wet. Fleeting feet step through wet streets. Small and large, colourful and angular umbrella's pop up in the street scene. It is given an extra touch by the neon lighting of shop windows.
As the rain ticks, my umbrella remains closed. I have no hands left as my camera is more important now. With wet hair, I stay focused on my fellow man. Occasionally, I wipe the drops from my camera lens. Intuitively, I follow what is happening around me.
In the back of my mind lurks an abstraction of what I want to find. Dot umbrellas's, bright yellow,- red,- green,- or motley colours of people passing by, I skip. Within the urban chaos, I choose what I bring into focus and what I leave out of focus. And then she appeared: anonymous woman with ice-blue umbrella.
