About the artwork

I've taken this photo in the storage area of a factory that's only been closed about 5 years ago. The factory used to produce high-quality ceramics. It was founded in the early 19th century. Between the 19th and mid 20th century it was part of the most important German manufactures of stoneware. I found this storage area impressive since it was made completely out of wood. Something that you would definitely not see anymore nowadays.

During my visit I was guided by a man who's willing to invest, together with a couple of friends, in the property to 'save' it. They have high interest in the architectural and historical value of the property and I think that's a great thing. While walking around we saw a lot of molds which they used to produce the ceramics with. At the end of the day we went to see his friends, who also happen to run a ceramics museum with all the products once produced by this factory, and it was great to see the products made based on the molds I saw earlier that day.
