About "WorldNatureFund Cover photo / Frans Lanting Award - Magic Masai Mara"

About the artwork

The photo was chosen for the Frans Lanting Award as the cover photo for the book Beeldverhalen van het WNF Wereld NatuurFonds 2017 of which I am of course very proud.
The evening light in the Kenyan Masai Mara is often beautiful, in this case almost magical and not real. The abundance of wildlife in the Mara provided the perfect entourage on this particular evening.
After a day of photographing in the Mara, we thought we would end up with a troop of lions with young. With a slanting eye we watched the sunset. In just a few moments the sky started to colour fantastically, and we saw four giraffes moving uphill towards four impalas. When all these pieces of the puzzle collapsed, the magical moment was complete for me.
The beauty of this sunset in the Masai Mara was magical in itself, but the entourage of the four giraffes with the four impalas which are all separate from the giraffes made this special evening complete and never to be forgotten.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
