Did you know that in Victorian times, freesias were symbolic of trust? Native to South Africa, freesias are members of the iris family. They are grown primarily to be used as a cut flower and are popular with florists and they are very popular as wedding flowers. White and yellow freesias were the initial colours for these beautiful flowers but over the years they have been cultivated in a range of colours.
