About ‘Yellow flowers on a quiver tree’ by Adri Vollenhouw
The quiver tree (Aloidendron dichotomum) is not a true tree but a large succulent. The trees can grow up to 9 metres tall and are found in arid regions of Namibia and South Africa. The name ‘kokerboom’ comes from the fact that the indigenous people used the hollow branches as quivers for their arrows.
